Students will participate in instruction and activities that increase their awareness of the importance of physical fitness and develop skills that enable them to participate in lifetime sports. Examples of activities offered are: volleyball, badminton, bowling, softball, body conditioning, basketball, weight lifting, and ping pong.

A required course for graduation, this course will cover topics in community health, disease control, family life, drug abuse prevention, mental health, human growth & development, and safety & emergency care.
Prerequisite: None                                        Credit:  1/2

Text Box:  DRIVER EDUCATION
 
This course is designed to help students develop their driving abilities and possibly obtain a driver’s license.  A student MUST present a certified birth certificate and a social security card prior to enrolling and complete a school attendance form, which may be picked up in the high school office, to take this course.  The course is offered to any high school student who is 15 years old or older.
Prerequisite:  None                                       Credit:  1/2
