Weekly Athletic Events:
Golf: The Indians and Lady Indians will play in the Region Tournaments this week. The girls will play at Amory Monday and the boys will play at New Albany Tuesday. Complete Schedule
Softball: The Lady Indians will play Tuesday at home against Nettleton and they will play at Smithville Thursday. Complete Schedule
Make plans to come out and support the players and coaches.
Senior Jersey Forms are in the office.
Yearbook Staff Application Link - Open to Upcoming Freshmen Only!
"Snowie" will be selling snow cones during all three breaks April 22nd and 23rd. Prices range from $2, $3, $4. Proceeds go towards the IAHS Cheerleaders.
All paperwork and money for Fall semester Dual Credit is due Friday, May 3. Cost is $100 per class.
SENIORS: Please check the Senior Survey on the table outside Mrs. Collier’s door. Update this as needed. The college listed on this spreadsheet will be where your final transcript is sent. Please make sure it is correct! Also, if you are receiving a scholarship, please let Mrs. Collier know and check the list of scholarships located on the table outside her door as well. This information will be needed for Scholarship Day.
The Academic Banquet/Awards Night will be May 6 and Scholarship Day will be May 7 at 1:00.Project Graduation Fish Fry money/unsold tickets are due Wednesday, April 17.
The Balfour Representative will be at your school on Tuesday April 9th to introduce the Balfour Class Ring program. He will return on Wednesday, April 17th during lunch for the purpose of assisting students with class ring orders. Parent Night: Tuesday, April 16th from 4-6 p.m. They accept cash, checks, money orders and credit/debit cards. Make Checks Payable to BALFOUR.

Tombigbee Counseling Association Scholarship
SENIORS: Students interested in pursuing a degree in one of the following areas: counseling, psychology, or social work - $250.00 scholarship from Tombigbee Counseling Association. The application must be submitted to Brittany Rowe at Pontotoc High School by April 30th. The student will be asked to complete the application and write an essay on the topic listed on the scholarship application. See Mrs. Collier for applications.
Both documents need to be submitted via email to Brittany Rowe at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please remember that it must be submitted by April 30th.
The Betty Kelly scholarship - Deadline is April 30, 2019SENIORS: Betty Kelly Scholarship – This $500 scholarship is for a blind or visually impaired student or the child of a blind or visually impaired parent. Students interested see Mrs. Collier. Deadline is April 30th.
Blue Mountain College has 5 scholarships for athletes to work in their athletic department for 2019-2020 (game day experience, video production, marketing, etc). Contact Will Lowery at Blue Mountain if interested at email@example.com or 662.685.4771 x401.
SENIORS: ACT Student Champions: $500 non-renewable scholarship, certificate, and state-level recognition:
Upcoming high school juniors and seniors may apply for a two day Aspiring Nurses camp at UNA which will be held on June 25 & 26. This camp is geared around skills for students considering a career in nursing. The deadline to apply is May 5. Cost is $50. See Mrs. Collier for an application.
JUNIORS: Girls State (June 2-7) and Boys State (May 26 – June 1) applications – see Mrs. Collier. You do not have to pay the $250 – you will be sponsored.
Mississippi Governor’s School – June 2-15, 2019 at MUW. Must be a rising high school junior or senior to apply. Must be in top 10% of class or 25 or above on ACT. Visit www.muw.edu/govschool for more details and application.
